Iulia Rășcanu is an Associate Professor with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. She has published several papers in well-ranked academic journals and in specialized volumes in Romania and abroad. Alumna of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions, Ms. Rășcanu is the author of two books that analyse and compare diasporic communities and identities from South Asia, the result of her 3-year research work with the University of Mumbai, India. Her academic studies and interests include Postcolonial Studies, Diaspora and Migration Studies, Feminist Studies, Anthropology, human psychology and socio-psychology, new developments in education and higher education, and the study of applied foreign languages, interdisciplinarity.
